It's time to make a move
Nov. 26th, 2016 01:56 amLydia had, even when woken, barely had the energy to do more than take her face and shoes off and fall into bed still in her party dress - and from there she slept the clock right round, and hadn't managed to eliminate all traces of her birthday party before her mother got home (although her mother thought the party was a lot smaller than it actually was). But everyone agreed via facebook it had been a spectacular party until the police broke it up, better even than in her Freshman year. So whatever had happened to Lydia was a shame - but she was still Lydia.
But Lydia had been on the back foot long enough, and now there wasn't a Peter in the way and Danny was read in it was time to take the offensive. Not all who she'd have chosen; Stiles for one was far too erratic to make planning a good choice; she could see he'd be a useful sounding board but not that he'd stick to plans. And Isaac was at last getting a backbone. The people were obvious.
Which is why a handful of people all got invitations from her in different ways but all saying about the same thing. "We need to compare notes. Recess today on the school roof. Lydia." It was after all an excellent place to not be overheard - and people didn't notice people missing at recess the way they would at lunch. Allison's invitation was, of course, verbal; there were half a dozen ways up to the roof but she was new so Lydia would show her one of the easier ones.
"This way." Lydia smiled, pointing out a ladder. "It's one of the worst kept secrets in school. As is the code to the roof. Anyone else you think we should have invited? And the padlock at the top doesn't actually prevent you opening the bolt."

Date: 2016-12-05 04:23 am (UTC)She moves against the flow of students rapidly exiting the school for the twenty minutes break, pushing through the few stragglers that are in her way. A couple people call out greetings, though they don't stay to make conversation, eager to enjoy their breaks.
Allison smiles when she sees Lydia. She's still tired from last night, eyes rimmed red. She and her parents had spent most of the night after she'd gone home working out what needed to happen. There may have been some crying involved. It's done. (There are details she doesn't know. Even her dad doesn't, just in case.)
"Better than going through the cafeteria," she says, recalling that night they'd been trapped at the school. The padlock had been replaced on that door, and there would be too many people around to access the roof that way. (Not to mention the new cameras.)
"There's no one around our age I can think of." The older adults though, for a given value of adult, should likely be clued in.
Derek's betas seem to have made it ahead of them, though Boyd and Isaac keep themselves at a distance, while Erica walks up to them. Danny joins them soon after, the others giving him sidelong glances, because what?
Scott and Stiles the last two to arrive, preceded by the sound of footsteps and talking. They fall quiet, Stiles staring at Danny with his mouth open. Scott is the one to bring up the obvious question: "Why is Danny here?"
She exchanges a look with Danny, who sighs, and rolls his eyes. "You guys aren't subtle."
"A lot happened last night," Allison says.

Date: 2016-12-12 01:58 am (UTC)"And that includes getting that mind controlling bastard Peter Hale out of my head, something my entire birthday party was a diversion for so he wouldn't notice what I was really up to." Lydia was quite pleased to notice peoples' eyes widen at her calling one of the best parties Beacon Hills had seen a diversion even if it wasn't the party's only purpose.
"That was a diversion?" Erica sounded slightly betrayed and given how much running around Lydia had had her do Lydia could understand that.
"Everything I said about why I was doing it was true, and thank you for helping." Lydia gave a smile to Erica which was returned. "But even if Peter Hale had been interested in my birthday party he couldn't have kept up. I wasn't walking Peter Hale through my spreadsheets which is why I told you to ask Danny." The repetition of Peter Hale was quite deliberate, attaching Hale to bad guy.
She shrugged. "It's up to Allison to tell you as much as she wants of what happened recently. And right now we've three major problems. Keeping your secret. Jackson, the Kanima, who's being controlled by Matt. And Gerard." She stepped back to allow Allison to take over if she wanted, or the rest of the floor to do so.
OOC: That tag did not want to work somehow.
